On some geometric problems in mathematical relativity
Abstract:
We start by discussing some general properties of asymptotically flat static solutions to the vacuum Einstein equations. Then we prove a rigidity theorem of Schwarzchild spacetimes among all such solutions with horizon(minimal surface) boundary. In the end, we relate our discussion to Bartnik's quasi-local mass definition.
