This talk covers a variety of conjectures not resolved by Mark Haiman's proof of the $n!$-conjecture. We also review what came to be called "Science Fiction" which taken literally is blatantly false at the representation theoretical level, yet it beautifully explains many of the experimentally observed properties of the Macdonald $q,t$-Kostka coefficients.
