Galois Groups as Arithmetic Invariants
Abstract:
Every number field comes with a whole array of associated invariants such as its class group, zeta function, adele ring, absolute Galois group, etc. I will discuss to which extent such invariants characterize the number field and, in case they don't, how easily one can obtain non-isomorphic number fields for which such an invariant is "the same".
